Compare Australia's B2B podcast production companies: who does strategy, video and distribution, what they publish on price, and how to choose.
If you run marketing or lead a B2B company in Australia, you have plenty of podcast production companies to choose from. They are not interchangeable. Some are video agencies that also make podcasts, some are audio specialists with decades in broadcasting, and a few are built around strategy and distribution as well as the edit.
This guide compares the Australian companies that show up most often when B2B buyers search for podcast production, using what each one publishes about itself. W2D1 Media wrote it and is on the list, so we have stuck to facts you can check on each company's own site.
How to compare podcast production companies
Before you look at names, decide what you are buying. Quotes differ mostly because they cover different amounts of the work:
Strategy: who the show is for, the format, the host and how guests get booked.
Production: recording support, the edit, quality control and a reliable schedule.
Content: trailers, short clips, show notes and thumbnails for each episode.
Distribution: getting episodes in front of people who do not already follow you.
A company that quotes for production only and one that quotes for all four can both be good value. Just make sure you are comparing like with like.
For B2B shows, three questions narrow the field quickly:
Is video the default? Most B2B podcast audiences now find shows on YouTube and LinkedIn. An audio-only workflow limits where your episodes can travel.
Can you see a price before the call? Published pricing tells you early whether a company is in your range.
Who owns what happens after publishing? Ask for a named owner and specific channels.

Consider: W2D1 works with B2B companies, investors and university teams. If you are a consumer or lifestyle brand, one of the companies below will suit you better.
2. Sound Cartel: best for established brands that want an audio specialist
Based in Hawthorn East in Melbourne, Sound Cartel calls itself "Australia's longest-running audio content and podcast production agency", with more than 40 years in audio. Its site lists podcast strategy, an in-house studio, post-production and distribution guidance. Named clients include Subaru, realestate.com.au, Magellan Financial Group and the University of Sydney.
Consider: its homepage leads with audio. Ask how video fits into the workflow if YouTube matters to your audience.
3. Posterboy Media: best for brands that need video production across the board
Posterboy Media has offices in Melbourne and Sydney and describes itself as "a full-service video content production agency". Podcasts sit alongside brand, corporate and educational video, photography, copywriting and social content, and it offers studio hire. Named clients include Monash University, the ABC and the Victorian State Government.
Consider: a good fit if you want one supplier for all your video. Ask who owns podcast strategy and distribution, because the site focuses on production.
4. Producey: best for consumer and sports brands running campaigns
Producey is a Melbourne team "specialising in video and podcast production, and brand campaigns", with studio access. Its client list leans towards large consumer brands, including the AFL, L'Oreal, Mazda and Spotify.
Consider: its client list is mostly consumer brands. B2B companies with long sales cycles should ask for B2B examples.
5. Pro Podcast: best for teams that want a Sydney studio
Pro Podcast runs a podcast studio in Sydney and describes its process as "plan, design, record, edit, publish and amplify", covering audio and video. It says it has made more than 300 podcast series.
Consider: the homepage names no clients. Ask to see B2B shows similar to the one you have in mind.
6. Solstice Podcasting: best for audio-first shows in Adelaide and South Australia
Solstice is an Adelaide "full-service podcast and audio production agency" whose team has more than 25 years in broadcasting and audio. It works with brands, publishers, government, member organisations and internal communications teams.
Consider: the site does not mention video. If your show needs to work on YouTube, check what they offer.
7. On Replay: best for teams that want a fixed monthly production subscription
On Replay sells podcast production, video editing and social content as monthly plans. Prices are in US dollars and start at US$1,997 a month for its Studio plan, rising to US$5,997 for Content Partner, which adds strategy and social publishing. Plans are measured in "active requests" with a 48-hour turnaround, not a set number of episodes.
Consider: the site does not say where the team is based, and prices are in US dollars. Check the time zone and how requests map to your episode schedule.
Which one should you choose?
You want strategy, video production and an audience in one package: W2D1 Media.
You want a long-established audio specialist: Sound Cartel or Solstice.
You need a video partner for much more than the podcast: Posterboy Media or Producey.
You want a Sydney studio to record in: Pro Podcast.
You want a subscription with a fixed turnaround: On Replay.
Whoever you shortlist, ask each company the same three things: what is included before episode one, who books the guests, and where each episode is distributed after it is published. The answers will separate them faster than any portfolio.
